Mohammed Al-Bishi was elected to the board of directors of the Saudi Journalists Association on Jan. 28.
The Saudi Journalists Association, established in 2003, is a licensed civil society body and serves as an umbrella entity for the nation’s media professionals.
Al-Bishi is editor-in-chief of AlEqtisadiah newspaper and managing editor of Asharq Business with Bloomberg in ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ.
With a rich background in economic and oil journalism spanning more than two decades, Al-Bishi has held various positions in the industry.
He spent five years as assistant editor-in-chief at AlEqtisadiah, honing his editorial skills and responsibilities, and journalistic editing roles.
He previously led the economic section at Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper in the UK.
Al-Bishi’s journalistic endeavors encompass comprehensive coverage of major global events, including conferences, summits and economic meetings, such as G20 Summits in the US, UK and Turkiye, alongside the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos.
His professional footprint also extends to the annual gatherings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C.
